I’ve been thinking for a long time that both kismet and muqaddar
are two names of a same thing, but later I found a difference and
relation in both the terms. I’ve asked my friends about this
difference, and they replied with variety of interesting views, which
I’ll share later.

Nature has always maintained a balance in the objects of this world in order garnish it with a beauty, and so it produced a balancing factor for each and every object. These balancing factors vary in the proportion of the support they provide to their counter part. In the same context men & women are considered as the supporting counterpart for each other, but the major conflict in this systematic support is the term ‘gender discrimination’.

It was a class room of B.Com final, I remember. After a long discussion and analysis of Industries of Pakistan, I just reviewed the performance of major industries of Pakistan. Then I asked the students if we’re left with any major industry. I was just about to leave the class when a voice stroke in my ears from the last row, “Ma’am, we’ve left a very important industry! I glanced at the writing board again and just relaxed, as everything was ok. But student was still insisting that we’ve left a top most important industry and its analysis is crucial not only for upgrading the standard of living but also for upgrading their moral character. On request he revealed the industry but I just considered as a mere joke, it was the mighty ‘film industry’.

Walking on Shahra-e-Faisal early in the morning, while coming back from college, or even just watching the never stopping traffic from the window of my house, it’s always been a great pleasure for me to admire the great Sahara-e-Faisal in one way or other. I don’t know what’s that so much attractive in the Shahra, that made me to fall in love with it. Not only Shahra, but Karachi in its totality is my first love.

The actual origin of racism is still unknown, but careful approximations suggest it to be the product of modern times. The racist activities might have prevailed in the ancient societies, but the contemporary situation is much different and more complex. According to Michel Foucault the first formulation of racism emerged in the Early Modern period as the "discourse of race struggle", a historical and political discourse which Foucault opposed to the philosophical and juridical discourse of sovereignty.

Creating Sound Mind in a Sound Body

According to Aristotle, ‘education is the process of creating sound mind in the sound body’. As any process needs a planning at the back end in order to get the desired results, education also needs planning. And this planning is based on the Educational Philosophy. James Ross relates education and philosophy as ‘two sides of a coin’. This relation has also been described by John Adams, for him ‘education is the dynamic side of philosophy’.

Identity may be defined as a distinctive characteristic of an individual or a particular group of individuals. For one’s survival in this world it is very crucial to maintain his identity. If we expand the criterion of ‘identity’ to national level it is of utmost importance because it is nation’s identity which distinguishes its people from the rest of the world. The importance of national Identity can be better analyzed by the fact that it is the base of all the policies, i.e. domestic and foreign policy and hence the social.
